MEANING

We want to thank you for visiting our website and your desire to know more about Teteriyaoroko UK. Teteri is an Oroko acronym meaning Star. Formed in November 2022 by a group of Dynamic and progressive Oroko individuals based in UK, Teteriyaoroko UK is growing from strength to strength. The dynamic nature of the group and its strong vision has increased its membership from 12 at creation to almost 22 after a few months of existence. 

This organization (Teteriyaoroko UK) intends to serve as a unique example of the normal conventional cultural association. It shall educate the host community about the cultural values of the Oroko people. As an organization we will forster the economic,social and cultural wellbeing of our members, encourage community outreach while maintaining an attachment with our origin.

As an Organization, TETERI YA Oroko UK is here to support its members both in the UK and in Cameroon. We aim to engage in the below activities.

-Promoting educational enhancement of the people of our communities back in Cameroon through sensitization and provision of basic educational needs. Providing sponsorship for the best students chosen through their educational excellence.

-Help in providing shelter for our people affected by the current skirmishes in Cameroon through community and concerted efforts.

-Assist in the provision of Portable drinking water to people of the Oroko communities

-Provide medical assistance to Oroko people during periods of need and assisting in providing basic medical needs to health care centers within the Oroko community

-Provide basic agricultural tools to our people who are predominantly farmers.

-Sensitize our people on sustainable agricultural activities and how the income generated from sale of agricultural products can be properly managed.

-Educate our people on the importance of community development and love for ones community.

-Promotion of the Oroko culture both within the UK and globally.
